Representative Ro Khanna

Representative Ro Khanna represents California's 17th Congressional District and is serving his fifth term. As a leading progressive voice in the House, he is committed to improving the lives of working people and advancing human rights and diplomacy around the world. He serves on the House Oversight Committee and as ranking member on the Select Committee on Strategic Competition with China. He was co-chair of Bernie Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign.

Rep. Khanna authored the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law last year, which has forced the release of millions of documents to hold the Epstein class accountable. He has worked closely with the survivors of Epstein’s abuse to expose the powerful elites who are being protected, including hosting press conferences on Capitol Hill where several survivors spoke publicly for the first time.

He has been outspoken in condemning the genocide in Gaza and has led the effort in Congress to recognize Palestinian statehood. He worked to secure the release of Americans on the Flotilla who were detained in Israel last year.

He has been a leading voice in condemning the murder of Alex Pretti and Renée Good by federal immigration agents. He introduced a 10-point plan in Congress to end ICE’s abuse that includes repealing the multi-year $75 billion funding allocation for the agency. He was one of the first Democrats to travel to Minneapolis after the murder of Alex Pretti to meet with families who have been impacted by ICE and to thank the protestors
